1 It’s Astronomical!- Flip Book
Learning Target: I can compare and contrast the distance, size, and general make up of plants, stars, moons, asteroids, galaxies, nebulae, dwarf planets and comets in the universe. Activity: Create a Flip Book Under each tab: Use the following pages to find information about each universal feature they find in their notes, their textbook (pgs ), and their ScienceSaurus book (Pgs. # 238, 240, 241, 242, 243, 244, 245, and 247) Universal Features: Comets, Planets, Moons, Asteroids, Galaxies, Solar Systems, Stars All Features MUST be in the Correct Hierarchal Order Information MUST include: Definitions, Characteristics/Descriptions of/Explainations, Types of, Components of, Examples, and Pictures All pictures/illustrations should be colored

2 It’s Astronomical!- Flip-Book-
Procedures On How To Create Flip-Book: Stack 3 sheets of paper together, placing each consecutive sheet around ¾ of an inch higher than the sheet in front of it. Bring the bottom of both sheets upward and align the edges so that all the layers or tabs are the same distance apart. When all the tabs are an equal distance apart, fold the papers and crease well. Staple the booklet along the creased fold line so that the pages of the flip book hold together. Students will label the TABS in hierarchical order from Galaxies to Moons/Asteroids/Comets The Title of the Flip-Book  The Universe

Example: The Universe Galaxies Stars Solar System Planets Moons/Asteroids/ Comets
