3) Simultaneous Formation Theory: Formed at the same time as Earth

Caused by moon’s orbit around Earth and amount of sunlight received on its surface

8. What’s an eclipse?
An eclipse is when a shadow is cast that blocks your normal view.
In a lunar eclipse, the Earth gets in the way and blocks the view of the moon

A Solar Eclipse is when the moon comes directly between the Earth and the sun.
