This session will address the use of generic forms of maturity models as an organizational philosophy to strengthen programs in such areas as project management, business continuity, enterprise risk management, and similar disciplines.
Areas addressed will include fit to organizational culture, applicability to governance functions, challenges of quantification and metrics, and models as a component of strategy.

Broadly speaking the use of “maturity model” relates to the degree of formality and optimization of processes, from ad hoc practices, to formally defined steps, to managed result metrics, to active optimization of the processes.
