2 1. “...come not near this tree or you both will be of the wrongdoers.”

3 2. “You may eat and drink until the white thread of light becomes distinguishable from the dark thread of night at dawn. Then, you shall fast until night appears.”

4 3. "Behold. the angels said, 'Oh Mary
3. "Behold! the angels said, 'Oh Mary! God gives you glad tidings of a Word from Him. His name will be Jesus, the son of Mary….’”

5 4. “‘Load it with two of each kind of animal (male and female), and embark your family, except against whom the Word has already gone forth, and those who believe.’  And none believed him except a few.”

6 5. “...Your Lord did not forbid you this tree save that you should become Angels or become of the immortals.”

7 6. “We have rendered the shrine a focal point for the people, and a safe sanctuary. You may use Abraham's shrine as a prayer house. We commissioned Abraham and Ismail, ‘You shall purify My house for those who visit, those who live there, and those who bow and prostrate.’”

8 7. “We revealed to Moses: ‘Strike the sea with your staff,’ so it split, and each part was like a huge mountain We brought near the others (Pharaoh and his army). We saved Moses and all those who were with him. Then We drowned the others.”

9 8. [Jesus said,] “And I come confirming that which was before me of the Torah, and to make lawful some of that which was forbidden unto you.”

10 9. “Among the People of the Book there is an upright community who recites the revelation of God during the night and fall prostrate before Him. They believe in God and the Last Day, enjoin what is right and forbid what is evil, and vie with one another in good works. They are of the righteous and whatever good they do, its reward will not be denied them. God knows those who fear [Him].”

11 is the word of God that was revealed to Muhammad by the angel Gabriel.
According to Muslim belief, the Qu’ran is the word of God that was revealed to Muhammad by the angel Gabriel.

12 According to Islam, Jesus was a prophet – not the Son of God.

13 There are 114 Suras. According to Islam, Jesus never died. The Romans THOUGHT they killed Jesus, but God did not allow his prophet to be killed.

14 Christianity teaches that God is “three in one” –
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. To Muhammad, this sounded like polytheism (belief in more than one god). The Qu’ran states that God is NOT three but is simply one.

15 In the Qu’ran, Mary gives birth to Jesus – alone under a tree
In the Qu’ran, Mary gives birth to Jesus – alone under a tree. Her parents are angry with her.

16 Old Testament - major differences
Adam & Eve were forgiven, but sent “down” to earth after the apple incident. Noah’s wife and one son refused to get on the ark and died with other unbelievers. Abraham was told to sacrifice of Ishmael, his son with Hagar, his wife’s servant (instead of told to sacrifice Isaac, his wife Sarah’s son).
