33 EQs & Objectives ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS: OBJECTIVES:
Why do atoms combine to form molecules? What happens to atoms in a chemical reaction? OBJECTIVES: Students will determine the number of atoms of each element in a chemical formula using subscripts and coefficients. Students will recognize that chemical formulas and equations are used to represent chemical reactions. Students will know that compounds are composed of two or more elements with different properties than the individual elements, and that compounds are represented by chemical formulas.
