83 Dealing With The Parents
9/18/2018

84 Dealing With The Parents
This may be the most difficult thing you do as a youth sports manager or coach Code of Conduct Parents and Family We will further discuss this at the Team Parent Meeting 9/18/2018

85 Dealing With The Parents
Examples My kid should be playing _____ spot /base! My kid should be batting _____ spot! Why is my kid sitting on the bench?! I don’t think you are treating the kids all the same! My kids can’t make any of those practices! My kid is better than him/her, why do they play more?! Kid is always late. Kid misses most practices, but shows up for games. Kid is “mouthy / disrespectful” to coaches and players. 9/18/2018

86 Dealing With The Parents
Get them involved. If they think they have the answers, ask them to help. Explain the rules to them Communicate, keep them up to date Remind them that the safety of their kids is your responsibility when they are on the field! 9/18/2018

87 Dealing With The Parents
Remind them that you are just a volunteer doing your best. AND If they really want to make a difference, get involved. 9/18/2018

88 Rules ! Know The Rules ! 9/18/2018

89 Know The Rules Read The Books ! Correct Balls
