They often form on floodplains of rivers or are the edge of some lakes

6. 3. Bog – Formed from a depression in the land left over from a glacier
No water feeds or drains into the bog
The only source of water is moisture from rain
Since no water drains, dead plants build up and sink to the bottom. This material is called peat and it creates a peat bog.
