1 Living for God Lesson 5 2nd Quarter 2017 1 Peter 3:12  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

2 1Peter 3:8  Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:  1Peter 3:10  For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:  1Peter 3:11  Let him turn aside from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.  Sunday

3 God will be glorified in the example that you set.
Crucify self; esteem others better than yourselves. Thus you will be brought into oneness with Christ. Before the heavenly universe, and before the church and the world, you will bear unmistakable evidence that you are God's sons and daughters. God will be glorified in the example that you set. 9T 188

4 1Peter 3:18  For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:  Romans 6:11  Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Monday

5 1 Peter 4:5  Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
1 Peter 4:6  For, for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.  Tuesday

6 1 Peter 4:1  Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; Wednesday

7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch
1Peter 4:7  But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.  Thursday

8 And above all things have fervent love among yourselves:
1Peter 4:8  And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover the multitude of sins.

9 The love that suffers long and is kind will not magnify an indiscretion into an unpardonable offense, neither will it make capital of others' misdoings. The Scriptures plainly teach that the erring are to be treated with forbearance and consideration. Friday

10 If the right course is followed, the apparently obdurate heart may be won to Christ.
The love of Jesus covers a multitude of sins. His grace never leads to the exposing of another's wrongs unless it is a positive necessity. CT p267
