A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) v3
The only globally recognized standard for the practice of business analysis Essential resource as it defines the skills and knowledge required by business analysis professionals BABOK® Guide reflects the collective knowledge of the global business analysis community Access to a free downloadable copy of BABOK® Guide v3 is one of the many benefits of membership BABOK® Guide is the only globally recognized standard for the practice of business analysis. It is the essential resource as it defines the necessary skills and knowledge required by business analysis professionals, and reflects the collective knowledge of the global business analysis community. It is the globally recognized standard because it was developed, reviewed and approved by the business analysis community. In fact, over 5,500 professionals voiced their positive support and insight during the development of v3. As the collective knowledge of the business analysis community is important to us, all comments from public were reviewed throughout the process. From a process perspective, our task structure was revamped and mapped against 10+ business change models, which allowed for many different lifecycles. We then ran the content through 3 revision cycles to ensure the new guide was not only built to meet the community’s need, but also to continually evolve the business analysis discipline. The guide was set up so that additional content and insights can continue to be added in the future to reflect the dynamic and evolving nature of business analysis.
