Module 5

2 Objectives In this module, users will be able to:
Know how to create charts Understand how dashboards work: How to create and set dashboards for a SpendVis report How to modify an existing dashboard How to add a new dashboard

3 Creating Charts Users can view an analytical report in the system as a chart by simply clicking on the Chart tab when in any report

4 Creating Charts Users can select a type of chart they want to view by clicking the dropdown menu next to Type

5 Creating Charts Users can modify the chart by selecting More Chart Options

6 Creating Charts You can modify your chart by selecting More Chart Options

7 Creating Charts If users like their chart, they can add it to their personal dashboard by clicking Add to Dashboard

8 Dashboard Overview Each module of the Ariba has a default dashboard that users see Users have the ability to modify their own dashboards by adding or removing items At any time, users can revert back to the default dashboard Users can also run an analysis to see the differences between your dashboard and the default dashboard

9 Modifying an existing Dashboard
Click on the tab to modify Click the wrench icon in the upper right hand corner of the site, to access the modification menu to do any of the following: Add content to the current dashboard tab Edit the properties of the current dashboard tab Delete the current dashboard tab Add a new dashboard tab Compare the dashboard tab to the default Revert back to the default dashboard tab Users will have the same options for every tab they have access to in the Ariba system

10 Modifying Your Personal Dashboard
To add a new item to dashboard, click the Add Content button and a menu will appear: Add a chart/table to dashboard Add a folder to dashboard Add a summarized view (type of report) to dashboard Add the default general items such as common activities Users can also remove any existing item on a dashboard by clicking the dropdown in the upper right hand corner of the item, and select “Delete This Item” Users can also select to minimize the item; however, it will remain on dashboard in a minimized state

11 Adding a New Dashboard To add a new dashboard, select “Add New Dashboard Tab” from the configure tabs menu Name the new dashboard tab Users can also decide if they can see all document types or restrict viewing to only certain documents Once users have titled the new dashboard, they have a clean slate to design it any way you would like There is no limit to how many dashboards users can create; however, the system will only display a limited number across the top of the screen and group together the remaining ones in a drop down menu

At this point, we want to try to run several reports that allow us to use the following fields: Supplier GL Account ERP Commodity Flex Dimension We also want to work to ensure users know how to Drill down into hierarchies and change starting level Toggle between the aggregate view and the detail view Search for particular items that are a page or row field Export data Save reports Length: 30 minutes

15 Lab Activity (for All 5 Modules)
At this point, we want to try to run several reports that allow us to use the following fields: Report name: “your name”_ test 1 Invoice fact Measure = Actual Spend and Invoice Count Row field = ERP Supplier Column filed = Accounting date by year Timeframe = last 2 years with partial year checked. Run and Save in your personal workspace Export to Excel Length: 30 minutes

16 Lab Activity (for All 5 Modules)
At this point, we want to try to run several reports that allow us to use the following fields: Report name: “your name”_ test 2 Invoice fact Measure = Actual Spend, Invoice Count, Invoice Line Count Row field = Part Description Page field none Timeframe = 1/1/2015 thru 10/31/2015 Run and Save in your personal workspace Export to Excel Length: 30 minutes

At this point, we want to try to run several reports that allow us to use the following fields: Report name: “your name”_ test 3 Purchase Order fact Measure = Encumbrance Row field = Flex string 6 Page field = ERP Supplier Column fields none Timeframe = last 6 quarters Run and Save in your personal workspace Export to Excel Length: 30 minutes
