The Marquis family’s reconstructed classic castle stands in the middle of a park full of ancient trees, 30 km from Košice, hiding at the head of the semicircular Mogyorós brook valley in the north-eastern part of Cserehát mountain in Northern Hungary. The mansion has been opened as a small boutique hotel to those longing for undisturbed rest, clean air and peaceful nature. The shaping of the building’s interior recalls the atmosphere of the 19th century. Period furnishing, including several valuable, one-and-a-half-century-old pieces of Biedermeier furniture evoke the age of Marquis János Pallavicini.

Its a specific feature of the hotel that its rooms and other community areas are lit not by mass produced items but year-old lamps peculiar in terms of industrial history and the history of styles renewed by the owner, thus the mansion has the function of a “Lamp museum”, as well. The lounge, the restaurant, the kitchen, the billiard- room and the so called “Turkish bath” with its bubble Spa, scented steam room and infra sauna can be found on the ground-floor, while seven apartments / rooms and the assembly hall with the latest conference-equipment are located on the first-floor. In the mansard of the building two further rooms and two suites can be brought on.

9. In the 3.5-hectare area park of ancient trees a pond, a play-ground for children and also resting-places provide the visitors with recreation. An outdoor pool heated by solar can be found next to the castle. Apart from the castle park, a territory of considerable size, containing farm and stable–buildings, is ready for further improvements. The castle is an excellent place for equestrian center with its 620 m2 stable. For the hunter there are three hunting grounds at the castle and several others within km around the estate.

The castle hotel is located just 2 hours on highway and main road from Budapest Airport, Hungary and also very close to the famous Tokaj Wine Region (UNESCO World Heritage of Hungary) and the estate is only 30 km far from the Kosice International Airport, Slovakia. Kosice is the second biggest town in Slovakia with universities, department stores, hospitals, etc. more than inhabitants. There are 2 golf courses about km far from the castle.

12. With the size of this property it would make an ideal family home or after a relatively small investment, could be ran as a four-star luxury hotel. The price of the property also includes the Biedermeier furniture, old paintings and chandeliers, kitchen wares, machines and everything needed for running a hotel.
