11 Key Points While alcohol use remains common in Nebraska, binge drinking rates are decreasing among both genders and all ages except for males There is great value in understanding how social norms and groups impact high-risking drinking on college campuses. Parents still have a great capacity to influence young adult behavior. Adoption of alcohol screening and brief intervention on campus has proven outcomes in reducing problem drinking. Messaging is most effective when used as one component of a comprehensive campus/community environmental effort. Helping People Live better Lives.
