Hazard rating system (GHS), routes of exposure, exposure limits, exposure assessment methods
Evaluate the risks, exposure assessments
Learn lessons from incidents
Minimize: How can I reduce the risk?
Engineering hazard controls: hoods, relief values, signage (see engineering controls Safety Moment)
Administrative: training, work hours, appropriate lab behavior
PPE
Chemical storage: separate incompatible materials, dispose of old chemicals, test for peroxides
Housekeeping: remove incompatible materials, inspect equipment

Emergency responses for fire (different classes), chemical spill and injury;
