Located between the Colorado and Mississippi Rivers in the southwestern US. (including Hawaii)
Climate tends to be hot and dry.
Economic activities include agriculture (livestock) and mining.
Includes: Rio Grande, Colorado Rivers, Gulf of Mexico, Houston, Dallas
