8 Link between Diabetes, obesity and erectile dysfunction: Diabetes and obesity affects a large population of men not only in United States but all over the world. Diabetes and obesity are the most common risk factors for developing ED, because they mainly affect the function of hormones, blood vessels and nerves, all which are involved in process of erection. High blood sugar levels in the diabetes can cause ED because it can damage the nerves that control an erection

9 Obesity is result of excess of fat consumption, these fats can deposit in the blood vessels which hamper the blood flow to the reproductive organs, resulting in erectile dysfunction. According to study reports, ED is highly prevalent in men suffering both diabetes and obesity. Another study has also found out that improved glycemic control and weight loss have been found to improve erectile function.
