CAS is a requirement of IB Diploma Ms. Fisher will be addressing CAS in more depth later during this presentation Nazzy

13 Theory of Knowledge (TOK)
TOK is part of the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) core, and is mandatory for all students. TOK is assessed through an oral presentation and a 1,600 word essay. Students reflect on the nature of knowledge, and on how we know what we claim to know.  Nazzy

15 Extended Essay (EE) The extended essay is an independent, self-directed piece of research 4,000-word paper Students are supported throughout the process of researching and writing with guidance from a supervisor who is a teacher at the school. Nazzy

CAS is a requirement of IB Diploma It involves students in a range of activities alongside their academic studies. May be a single event or a series of sequential events. CAS gives students a chance to explore passions, develop skills, take risks, lead projects, collaborate with others, persevere, evaluate choices, learn responsibility, make ethical decisions, and sometimes to fail and forge on. It is a journey of discovery of self and others. It is individualized according to student interests, skills, values and background. It is not formally assessed.
