Questions to ask before borrowing:
Does it make economic sense? Do my spouse and I have unity about taking on this debt? Do I have spiritual peace of mind? What goals / values am I meeting with this debt that can be net in NO other way? Have I sought Godly counsel about it?

Investing is Wise An investment is money that is used for the purpose of gaining a financial return A) Invest with the right attitude & for the right reasons – 1 Timothy 6:6-10 i) To create additional wealth for God’s work – Acts 4:34 ii) To provide for family responsibilities Timothy 5:8; Proverbs. 13:22

B) Do not presume upon the future – James 4:13-15 C) Avoid hasty speculation & decisions Proverbs 28:20, 22 D) Avoid even the appearance of deceit Proverbs 13:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:22

Three areas of financial obligation: 1. Giving – Proverbs 3:9 2. Taxes – Romans 13:7 3. Debt retirement – Psalm 37:21 Two areas of financial discretion 1. Living expenses 2. Accumulation of wealth

A) God owns it all, You are His steward B) Money is merely a resource to accomplish other goals & obligations C) Spend less than you earn and do that for a long time - Proverbs 13:11
