Positive pressure HEPA filtered room. Keep the door closed at all times N95 Patient must wear N95 respirator when leaving room Upon leaving room Before entering room 2. Disinfect hands with alcohol gel 3. Put on gloves Put on surgical mask 1. Remove gloves and surgical mask 2. Disinfect hands with alcohol gel No fresh or dried flowers or plants in room 4/01/12

2 Use these PRECAUTIONS for transplant patients during:
The initial BMT admission Any autologous readmission within the 1st 6 months Any allogeneic readmission within the 1st year Any readmission while graft vs host disease (GVHD) is being actively treated 1. Admit to private room in a Protected Air Environment pod (if available): 4AB, 6ABCD, & 7AB 2. All persons, including visitors, should use these precautions BEFORE entering the patient’s room: STEP 1. Put on a surgical mask. STEP 2. Disinfect your hands with alcohol gel. STEP 3. Put on gloves.   3. Patient should not leave the Protected Air Environment pod unless medically necessary. 4. Patient must wear an N95 respirator or PAPR whenever leaving his/her patient room. 5. No fresh or dried flowers or plants in room   Need more signs? Call Central Transport ext
