2 First Person Definition Clues
A character in the story that tells the story to the reader. Uses pronouns: I, me, my, mine, we, our, ours We only know what the character is thinking. Ex: Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children

3 Second Person Definition Clues
The story/writing is from the perspective of “you”. UNCOMMON Used in things like manuals, recipes, instructions, and poetry Ex: Choose your own adventure stories, directions

4 Third Person Objective
Definition Clues The narrator tells the story only through action and dialogue not characters’ thoughts. Uses pronouns: he, she, it, they

5 3rd Person Limited Omniscient
Definition Clues The narrator tells the story from the viewpoint of one character. All their feelings and thoughts. Lets the reader know what one character thinks, sees, knows, hears, and feels Uses pronouns: he, she, it, they Example – The True Story of the Three Little Pigs

6 3rd Person Omniscient (all knowing)
Definition Clues The narrator knows everything about all the characters thoughts and feelings. Lets the reader know unlimited information about the characters Uses pronouns: he, she, it, they Ex: Lob’s Girl
