7 Establish a firm prayer life
a) Jn 17 - Personal relationship with the Lord Jesus b) 1 Cor 14:15 - Praying in the Spirit. c) Ps 119:140 - Spending time in the Word. ESTABLISH A FIRM PRAYER LIFE a) Personal relationship with the Lord Jesus – John 17 b) Praying in the Spirit. – put in notes on how to pray in the spirit (inside) and in the body/soul (outside/audible). 1Co_14:15 What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding. c) Spending time in the Word. – reading large portions, reading one verse and repeating it – how to meditate (asking questions, wait, write down – Simple prayer way – singing from bible way). Psa_119:140 Your word is very pure; Therefore Your servant loves it.

8 Establish a firm prayer life
d) Mt 26:30/Ps 96:9 - Worship/adoration. e) 1 Tim 2:1 - Prayer requests. f) Ps.40:31/Hos12:6 - Waiting on God to speak to you. g) Rev 1:19 - Writing down what God speaks to you. d) Spending time in worship/adoration – this can happen in words – using attributes, using names, and in song – singing songs. Mat_26:30 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. Mar_14:26 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. 1Ti_5:5 Now she who is really a widow, and left alone, trusts in God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day. e) Spending time in prayer for different requests – you can start with a list – you can start with the name that comes to you, then the next will come, then the next will come. 1Ti_2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, f) Waiting on God to speak to you – quiet mind, soul, body, so the spirit can have dominion to communicate the thoughts of the Father to you through the HS. Psa_42:11 & 43:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. Isa_40:31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Hos_12:6 So you, by the help of your God, return; Observe mercy and justice, And wait on your God continually. g) Writing down what God speaks to you – journal – keep a notebook at all times. Sometimes while pryaing in the spirit, thoughts will come. Sometimes while in worship, thoughts may come. Rev 1:19 Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this.
