2 About SIBIU Sibiu (Romanian pronunciation: [siˈbiw], German: Hermannstadt [ˈhɛʁmanʃtat], Transylvanian Saxon dialect: Härmeschtat, Hungarian: Nagyszeben [ˈnɒɟsɛbɛn]) is a city in Transylvania, Romania, with history of more then 850 years old and with a population of 147,245.[1] Located some 215 km north-west of Bucharest,[2] the city straddles the Cibin River, a tributary of the river Olt. Now the capital of Sibiu County, between 1692 and 1791 and 1849–65 Sibiu was the capital of the Principality of Transylvania, until 1920 it belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary. Sibiu is one of the most important cultural centres of Romania and was designated the European Capital of Culture for the year 2007, along with the city of Luxembourg.[3] Formerly the centre of the Transylvanian Saxons, the old city of Sibiu was ranked as "Europe's 8th-most idyllic place to live" by Forbes in 2008.[4] The city administers the Păltiniș ski resort. At this honourable occasion of hosting the next AETF European Cup in Romania I would like to express my greetings to all Grandmasters, Masters, Instructors, Competitors, Practitioners of our beloved Taekwon- do Family! The Romanian Federation’s professional EC Organizing Committee working hard and are really enthusiast to make the coming European Cup for an absolutely top level event. The main goal is that all of our EC guests and participants shall leave Romania with satisfaction, nice impressions, and unforgettable memories after closing the Championship. I would like to warm-heartily wish successful competing to all participants and an enjoyable, pleasant time for the visiting audience of our 2018 European Cup. WELCOME TO SIBIU! TAE KWON

5 Sport Hall- TRANSILVANIA
"Transilvania" Sports Hall is a multifunctional hall in Sibiu. The capacity of the hall is 1812 seats. Dimensions: long 44 m, wide 24 m [1] The room has its own central heating system, a ventilation station that ensures a permanent air freshening, and a quick heating in the cold season. In addition, the hall is equipped with a stand for sports and sporting materials, but also with its own lighted car park for 1,000 seats, with the possibility of renting for various events such as concerts or sales exhibitions. Professional sports equipment: basketball, handball, volleyball, field tennis, football in the gym, table tennis; Electronic scoreboard Sound system Press booths Lamellar package for the playing surface Protective nets behind the gates Protection mat for the playing surface

9 About Hotels- prices ACCOMMODATION Please note that the Organizing Committee will handle any accommodation booking. Booking of accommodation must be made by one person in charge from each team/club/country  The hotels will be at different distances from the sport stadium, walking distances( from 300 meters meter) Offers the following level of accommodation during the championships. VIP Hotels ( for umpires, officilas)- 4 star hotel- for 70 persons “A” Accommodation in (3 star) hotel rooms (near to the Sport hall) at the price of € 45,00 per person per night sharing a double/twin room.   “B” Accommodation (4 star) rooms (1 km to the Sport hall) at the price of € 50,00 per person per night sharing a double/twin room.   “C” Accommodation (2 star) at the price of € 35/40,00 per person per night sharing a double/twin room.   Single room accommodation at € 20,00 extra per person per day for “A” and at € 25,00 extra per person per day for “B” and at € 15,00 extra per person per day for “C” accommodation. Accommodation includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. No drinks included.

10 How to arrive in Sibiu- by car
Sibiu is an important node in the European road network, being on two different European routes (E68 and E81). At a national level, Sibiu is located on three different main national roads, DN1, DN7 and DN14. The Romanian Motorway A1 will link the city with Pitești and the Romanian western border, near Arad. The remaining 161 km of motorway towards Arad, out of a total of 281 km, are under construction and expected to be completed by 2017, while the timeline for the segment towards Pitești is targeted for completion for the year Sibiu' s ring road as part of A1 motorway was completed on December 1, 2010. From CLUJ-Napoca is by driving 165 km- 2 hours driving
