5 Workers under 25 represent only about one- fifth of hourly paid workers, they made up half of those paid the federal minimum wage or less!

6 a single-person household is considered poor if his or her income is $11,670 or less.
The federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour effective July 24, 2009. Minimum wage will earn you $15,080 per year. This puts you $3,410 above the national poverty line.
