12 Defense Travel Management Office Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness) Using DTS for Permanent Duty Travel Facilitates military members’ Permanent Duty Travel (PDT) Provides an on-line interface to: –Make PDT travel/lodging reservations for member and authorized dependents –Capture/calculate PDT allowances to receive timely payments via split disbursement Provides DoD with the ability to: –Import/originate PDT travel orders (Authorizations) –Automate accounting transactions for PDT –Automate PDT accounts receivable processing –Automate approval and certification of travel claims 12
