Pluralism: there are many ways of knowing and many truths to one fact. Avant-Garde – term used to describe a movement in art, literature, film, architecture, photography, fashion, etc. to describe a group of artists who are forward thinking for their time. Forward thinking or interpreting in a way that embraces or rejects a thought or opinion. ALL movements have a manifesto of sorts.

11 Avant-Garde Make-Up Avant-Garde in fashion or make-up is meant to spark a reaction or provoke thought. The artist interprets something in a way that may cause observers to question their original belief of the topic or adopt a another truth about this topic. Make-up and clothing is not meant to be wearable. It is a work of art, not street clothing. Ask yourself, how do I see this? What is my opinion? What do I want others to think about this that they currently do not?
