1 Bellwork: Pick up the worksheet when you walk in. Also pick up a few markers or colored pencils for later (if you don’t have your own). Open your textbook to page Take out your Study Guide. In your Composition Book: Use Ethos, Pathos, or Logos (at least one, you may use more), to convince me whether Odysseus is a hero or not. Write at least one paragraph (5 sentences). Be prepared to read it to the class.

3 Activity Turn your worksheet over to the other side. Create 4 sections or columns. In the first section, write Siren at the top. In the second section, write Scylla at the top. In the third section, write Charybdis at the top. In the fourth section, write Island of Helios at the top. In each section, draw what you think the monster looks like based on the description from the book. Also draw what dangers each monster poses in each section. Draw or write out what happens when Odysseus reaches the island of the sun god, Helios
