2 Asics Sport Advertisement
This advertisement is promoting sports wear, the sports footwear “Asics” their slogan is “Sound mind sound body” mind and body are in italics, possibly wanting to get across to an audience that their mind and body matter more than the shoes, which will enable the audience to focus on their mind and body. In this advertisement, a woman is seen running through water, but it has ben taken in a ‘shutter speed’ photograph which looks as if she is running in slow motion. She is also wearing the footwear that the advert is about, possibly promoting that the shoes can with stand anything thrown in its way. The design affects the message because the audience will believe that the footwear can really with stand anything. The purpose of this advert is to sell their footwear as fast as they can. The advert tells the story of a sportswoman running and trying out the footwear. The advert doesn’t remind me of any other advert, television program, book or film. The advert is trying to sell footwear by proving how good their product is. The techniques used in this advert to persuade an audience to buy the product are pretty simple. Whether or not they’re lying, the audience won’t know until they’ve bought them. There is a picture of the product in the picture, as the woman is wearing the advertised footwear. The advert isn’t too important to the public but it is important to the company selling the footwear. The woman may be considered as a character or she might be a real sportswoman.

3 Car Accident Advertisement
This advertisement is an advert for car accidents. It comes across as a powerful advert because usually the driver doesn’t think of the child crossing the road in front of them. The imagine comes across as if it is saying “What if it was your child?” their slogan is ‘Think of BOTH SIDES’ in bold, colored letters to get their point across that you should always be keeping your eyes on the road. In the advert, there is a couple driving whilst the mother is staring at a map and the father is talking on the phone with one hand on the wheel. The only one who is actually looking at the road and at the child who is about to be hit, is their baby. The design of the advert is important because their baby’s face is in line with the child on the other side who is about to be hit. There isn’t a product or recognizable logo in the advert, it is just a warning for drivers to avoid accidents. There are characters in the advert because the father, mother and baby are not real. They’re all digitally edited. The purpose of the advert is to raise awareness of how many people do not think “What if it was your child?” The advert isn’t trying to sell anything, but they are trying to get their message across about caring for other children and actually looking at the road.

4 Animal extinction advertisement
This advertisement is a powerful image that will raise awareness of animal extinction, which is centered around a animal charity that helps stop the extinction of animals. There is no slogan or key words on the advertisement because animal extinction does not need any words, it should be automatic to save our animals. The leopard in the photograph is slowly disintegrating into ash, a metaphor for what is really happening. The leopard really is being wiped out along with every other animal we have. The design affects the message because you know what it is about as soon as you see it, it must be about the extinction and disappearance of endangered animals. There isn’t a product to sell but there is a recognizable logo because everybody knows the logo for animals going into extinction. The advert is very important because it raises the real awareness of the animals becoming extinct. There aren’t any characters involved in this photograph but there is a digitally edited leopard. This advert tells the story of an leopard slowly going extinct. The advert doesn’t remind me of another advert, television program, book or film. The advert isn’t trying to sell anything but it is to raise awareness of the animals and to get an audience to feel sympathy for these animals.

5 The task we were asked to do was to pick three advertisements and analyze them. In this lesson I learnt how important advertisement is in our society. My strength within the task was the ability to work quickly and focus on the task. The questions worked well for me because they were not too complicated to answer. To improve on this task I would like to analyze my print advertisements in a more detail.
