SLCP Scheduled Listed Chemical Products---ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, phenylpropanolamine commercial bottle will have ‘C’ with sch#

3 controlled substances
sch IV Alprazolam, Xanax, Z-bars, Zanny Barbiturates (Barbs, Blues, Seccies, Nembies, Dolls) Certain Products Containing Codeine Chloral Hydrate Clonazepam (Klonipin, Valpax, K-Pin, Benzos, Downers) Diazepam (Valium) Flunitrazepam (Roofies, Date-Rape Drug) Lorazepam, Ativan, Atties, Benzos, Downers Meprobamate Paraldehyde Phenobarbitol Xanax Zolpidem (Ambien, Stillnox, Zolpimist)

4 refills Sch3-schV drugs can be accepted by fax, written, phone.
sch 2 is paranoid special----can be faxed but original must come in then give meds. dr can give several rx for sch2 but must: separate rx for each time legitimate reason ‘do not fill before xxx’ not risky pt ok c state law and under 90 day supply Drug seeker???- c3-5--pt can request refill by or phone pharm can refill until # of pills is completed or 6 months after rx date c5----as many refills as on rx

5 sch2 refill emergency!!!!! emergency sch2?????? ok…
1---dr has no other treatment 2--written rx not possible now(dr at home,ect) 3—when dr calls must get all rx info and dpharm writes down 4--only enough for emergency 5--verify DEA# unless you know the dr 6--dr has 7 days to give original rx--’auth for emergency only’ 7--call DEA if not arrived.

6 transfer rx to another pharmacy
sch3 4 5 can transfer only one time. must write down all info. sch2 drug is not transferred. some sch 5 don’t need rx. another pharmacy wants your pharmacy drugs 1---registered with DEA? 2---record pharm gave it and who got it 3--must do Form 222 if sch2 4--must be under 5% of pharm dosage units in a year. mail your meds? can mail if no drug name on mail envelope. drug monograph=package insert=medication info sheet indications, dosage, contraindication, warnings, adverse reaction, interactions
