5 Adaptations Lots of animals have front legs and paws to help them burrow into the ground to protect them from predators. Many animals blend in with the Prairie land. Some animals, like bison have broad, flat teeth and digestive systems to feed on grass See?

6 Plants+Adaptations Flowers Tall grasses Short grasses Herbs
Many plant’s growing point is underground so if there is a fire it can regrow. Prairie grasses have narrow leaves that lose less water to evaporation. Brightly colored flowers attract pollinators like bees, wasps, and birds.

8 Human impact Grasslands are disappearing because humans are using the land for farming and urban development. People are building power plants , cities, schools, roads and permanent homes.
