2. Verizon Innovative Learning for minority males
This unique in-person, hands-on, two year long mobile learning program for minority male middle school students is free and exposes the young men app development, VR/AR, and 3D printing. Over the course of the two summers and two academic years, students experience first- hand the vital role technology plays in today’s world, empowering them to become creators and makers. These young men design and develop actual products while being mentored by relatable professional STEM role models, enabling them to acquire both the technical and soft skills to propel them to a higher level of achievement.
