2. Statement of Objectives:
By the end of the lessons you will be able to perform and demonstrate basic CPR techniques and procedures on a mannequin, to pass a Red Cross approved test of CPR skills.

3. CPR – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
1. If a victim shows no sign of circulation
*** Find hand position on breastbone
Place 1 hand in center of chest
Place your other hand on top

4. 2. Give 30 Chest Compressions
A) Find hand position on the breastbone
B) Position the shoulders over the hands
C) Arms straight & elbows locked
D) Compress the chest about 2 inches deep

6. A) Tilt the head back and lift the chin to open the airway
3.Give 2 rescue breaths
A) Tilt the head back and lift the chin to open the airway
B) Pinch the nose shut
C) Take a breath and breathe slowly into the victim until the chest clearly rises

8. 4) Give 3 more cycles of 30 compressions and 2 rescue breaths
5) Recheck for signs of circulation
A. Find the Adam's apple and slide your fingers toward you and down into the groove at the side of the neck
B. Check for signs of circulation and breathing for no more than 10 seconds

10. 6 If there are signs of circulation, but no breathing
A) Go to Rescue Breathing or
No signs of circulation
B) Continue CPR
