Ulcers - Caused when a decrease in the protective mucus production causes the acids and proteases to digest the lining of the digestive tract.
This usually occurs in the stomach or small intestine.

Water is lost to the body resulting in dehydration.

Appendicitis-inflammation of the appendix due to bacterial infection

Eating Disorders:
-Anorexia nervosa is a psychological disorder wherein individuals, predominantly young women, starve themselves because of a desire to be excessively thin.
-Bulimia, a related disorder, is also called the binge-purge syndrome. Individuals eat large quantities of food and immediately try to either vomit or prevent absorption of nutrients by consuming laxatives.
