November 2006 (Contd.) Conclusions TD-413(WP2/16): Report of Question 22/16 At the suggestion of Mr. Probst and Mr. Okubo, an Adhoc group were set up to work out our objectives, scope, a list of planned Recommendations and target dates. Please see TD388/WP2 for detailed information. The main points of the work plan are as follows: We see there are a large class of applications that can be described as multimedia information retrieval and delivery triggered by networked ID. Networked ID triggered multimedia information delivery lies in the intersection of multimedia services and NID-based applications, thus the study of this subject is important to both multimedia and networked ID. We decided to be focus on this area by developing a set of Recommendations. SG 16 plans to tackle this problem by following a step-by-step approach-in the beginning, we will develop service descriptions and requirements, and then an architecture and its components.

November 2006 (Contd.) Conclusions(Contd.) TD-388(WP2/16): Networked ID triggered multimedia information delivery services - Scope, possible Recommendations and target dates Target dates for these Recommendations 1. Service descriptions and requirements - July 2007 2. Architecture - July 2007 3. Components 3.1 ID code - April 2008 3.2 ID resolution protocol - April 2008

5 History of F.MID and H.MID (4)
March 2007 Contributions AVD-3072: Service description and requirements for multimedia information delivery services triggered by networked ID AVD-3073: NID based multimedia service and application architecture Conclusions TD-17b:Q22 Report “AVD-3072 was proposed to be used as the baseline for a new Recommendation F.MID under Q.22 (thanks to Mr.Paul Jones for inventing this code name). AVD was proposed for an architecture Recommendation H.MID under Q.21.”

6 History of F.MID and H.MID (5)
June-July 2007 Contributions C184: Proposed draft for new ITU-T Recommendation F.mid “Service description and requirements for networked ID triggered multimedia information delivery services” C185: Proposed draft for new ITU-T Recommendation H.mid “Networked ID triggered multimedia information delivery system architecture”

7 History of F.MID and H.MID (6)
June-July 2007 (Contd.) Conclusions TD-518/WP2: Report of Question 22/16 Questions were asked and there was no agreement that it can be consented as was planned in November The scope of this document was questioned as well as the defintion of NID used in this document. It was agreed to change the name to tag-based ID triggered multimedia information delivery services. Further work is necessary, and more meetings are arranged to help to make collaboration between SG16, SG13 and SG17 possible. A latest version was producd by Mr.Koshizuka and comments were added by the Korean experts to indicate contentious issues, for details, please see TD 509/WP2.

June-July 2007 (Contd.) Conclusions (Contd.) TD-518/WP2: Report of Question 22/16 (Cnt’d) The discussion showed that consent can’t be achieved at the current meeting. Further work has to be added to clarify the scope of the document to motivate the proposed architecture. It was also noted that the content of the document should be reviewed by other study groups of ITU-T, especially SG13 and SG2. A list of objections which have to be resolved before applying to consent was prepared by the Korean delegates (TD510/WP2) TD-509/WP2: Draft of new Recommendation F.mid “Service description and requirements for multimedia information delivery services triggered by tag-based identification” TD-510/WP2: Draft of new Recommendation H.mid “Tag-based ID triggered multimedia information delivery system architecture

September 2007 Contributions AVD-3129: Update Draft of new ITU-T Recommendation F.MID “Service description and requirements for tag-based ID triggered multimedia information delivery” AVD-3130: Update draft of new ITU-T Recommendation H.MID “Tag-based ID triggered multimedia information delivery system”

10 History of F.MID and H.MID (9)
September 2007 (Contd.) Conclusions TD-10: Q22 report This document contains a new version of F.mid. During the discussion, several comments were received, most of these comments are for minor modifications. The comments were taken by the meeting, and were incorporated in the newer version TD-14. This document contains a new version of H.mid. During the discussion, several comments were received, most of these comments are for minor modifications. But there were also some technical issues provoking an long debate
