Go to Click on Student Resources. Click on Library. Click on Databases and Articles Look for: General Databases: EBSCOHost Databases

3 Tip #2-Different databases do different things
*Tip #2-Different databases do different things! Next screen you will be asked to log in with your Pirate # and password. Next screen-EBSCOhost Databases (A-Z list) Click select. This tells EBSCO you want to look through all of the resources within the database.

4 *Tip #3 Quotation marks around 2 or more words keeps those words together during the search. Type in your search words. For example-”Italian sausage” AND ingredients Narrow down your search results by Full Text, year, source type, subject, publication, category (These are located on the left side of the screen)

5 Truncation is your friend. Parent
Truncation is your friend! Parent* in your search box will bring results for: parents parenthood parenting parentage

6 AND, OR, NOT These three words can make your search bigger or smaller AND-smaller OR-larger NOT-smaller

7 Tip #4-Email the article to yourself
*Tip #4- the article to yourself. You will receive the article + the citation. To find the citation icon look on the right side of your screen and use the tools.

10 *Tip #7 Create an account and save!
Create an account within EBSCO This allows you to save all of your articles so they are ready and waiting for you when you come back to EBSCO. If you do not have an account your articles will not be saved when you return next time.

11 HELP!!! Where is a librarian when you need one??
