RADICAL?

Christianity is always at a crossroads

“Our lives could become everything that this world wants them to be
“Our lives could become everything that this world wants them to be. So tolerant that they speak no truth. So comfortable that they evade their call. So religious that they cannot love. So powerless that they have no effect on this world.”

“Radical. A life tending to produce extreme or fundamental changes in political, economic or social conditions within institutions, habits of mind or society.” This is the dictionary definition of the word Radical when applied to someone’s life or cause. And we stand for The Kingdom of God, or at least we are meant to: Faith in Jesus is meant to tend to bring about change, God’s change, God’s agenda, God’s love into this world and into people’s lives. This can’t happen unless it affects: The way we make decisions in our society, politics The way we give things or people value, economics The way we live together, social or social conditions Whether they be in institutions, that’s government, companies, your businesses, charity, schools, etc. In people’s minds, in the way they think Or within society itself. ”In other words, it means we do things a different way to a different agenda in the hope of transforming what is around us”. “we take our stand like our friend in Tahrir square.”

A Radical Messenger : Moses

We need Faith to overcome Fear, our Flesh and the Foe

Faith means we believe certain things about who Christ is and about what God has said and done. We trust God’s purposes, so we don’t fear present circumstances. We trust God’s promises, so we don’t pursue the things of the flesh. And we trust God’s power, so we don’t allow the foe to rule over us. We believe, we confess, and we hold on to certain truths that are seen to be better than, more real than, of greater value than other truths that would set themselves up and against these truths of Christ. Merrick, Britt. Big God with Study Guide: What Happens When We Trust Him

Faith conquers our Fears

“the worst kind of hypocrisy is to believe that without Jesus Christ people are going to hell and then to stay silent about it.” Merrick Romans 1:16, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation.”

Faith conquers our Flesh

Faith is believing in the value of certain things over the value of other things and then making decisions accordingly.

Faith conquers our Foe

Exodus 14:13-14 But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear
Exodus 14: But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the LORD which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever. The LORD will fight for you while you keep silent.”

Exodus 15:1-3: Then Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and said, “I will sing to the LORD, for He is highly exalted; the horse and its rider He has hurled into the sea. The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him; my father’s God, and I will extol Him. The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is His name.”

Will you be a radical warrior for God?

Which way are you travelling?

Faith? Faith means we believe certain things about who Christ is and about what God has said and done. We trust God’s purposes, so we don’t fear present circumstances. We trust God’s promises, so we don’t pursue the things of the flesh. And we trust God’s power, so we don’t allow the foe to rule over us. We believe, we confess, and we hold on to certain truths that are seen to be better than, more real than, of greater value than other truths that would set themselves up and against these truths of Christ.
