PanelView Plus 6 only supports ActiveX Controls from Studio 6.0 and higher PanelView Plus 6 has the DataStore ActiveX built in ActiveX controls from Studio 5.10 gfx file may show this image

When you attempt to create a runtime, the following error may be displayed: The display that has the ActiveX will be removed from the Runtime file.

7 Configuration and Setup: General Tab
DataStore has four tabs: General, Advanced, Common and Connections Use the General tab to set the time when starting a new CSV file. Never : Keeps the same CSV file Periodic: New file can be started every Hour, Day, Week or Month Specified Time: Choose a Time to Start New file

8 Configuration and Setup: Advanced Tab
The Advanced tab has several functions. File Header identifies the tag columns in the CSV file. Specify the time intervals of each data point. In seconds. Each row number is identified by default. Suppress row numbering to remove the identifier. Each record can be logged with the time and date. Overwrite oldest data at a specific file size of the CSV. There is an option to see either the string data first or float data.

Use the Common Tab to set size and location of the ActiveX control on the screen.

10 Configuration and Setup: Connections Tab
Assign the file location and trigger to control the Active X control. There are 100 Float and 50 String tag fields that can be used. The Handshake tag allow the one line to be written for each time the trigger is set. The trigger and the Handshake will both reset back to 0 for the next trigger condition.

12 Screen Control in Global Connections
Calling ActiveX Screen Control in Global Connections Create an analog tag that will be used to store the screen number value. The tag will be used in Global Connections under The display tab. The remote display tag is used to controls the HMI screens.

13 Method use to call the ActiveX
Calling ActiveX Method use to call the ActiveX Create a Macro that will be used to call the desired main screen once the ActiveX screen has started.

14 Method use to call the Active X
Calling ActiveX Method use to call the Active X Set the ActiveX display as an On Top screen that can not be replaced. This will allow the control to remain available in the background. The startup Macro used with the ActiveX display can call a Replace screen that will be used as the main screen of the application.

16 Saving and Sending CSV Files
Saving The CSV FILE Saving the CSV file can be accomplished many ways. The file can be saved by typing the path directly into the File Location field. Quotes must be at the beginning and end of the path. HMI or direct tag reference allows flexibility to change the path while running the application.

Saving The CSV FILE External memory cards can be used to store the data. The PanelView Plus 6 supports USB Flash and SD cards. The PanelView sometimes experiences difficulty reading the larger memory cards. Suggest between 2 and 4 Gigabytes.

Saving The CSV FILE Files can also be saved to a File Server Domain. The PanelView Plus 6 connection to the Domain is set through: Terminal Services Networks and CommunicationsNetwork ConnectionsNetwork Identification. Create an HMI string tag that can be used for the File location.

Saving The CSV FILE PanelView Plus 6 has the ability to have a Network Drive Mapped. The PanelView Plus 6 must be connected on a Domain. The setup can be made by clicking: StartRun. Type CMD and click OK. \> net use <map drive name> \\<pc name>\<folder> /user

Saving The CSV FILE PanelView Plus 6 has also has an FTP Server that can be used to extract files from a client Computer. The FTP Server can be enabled from the control panel on the PanelView Plus 6 under Server Config. Use your browsers URL field and enter the following: ftp://IPAddress of the PanelView

21 Saving and Sending CSV Files
Saving The CSV FILE The CSV file can be copied from the internal memory to the external flash or SD card. A batch file can be used to execute the command to copy the CSV file. Make sure the data logging is disabled prior to copying the file.
