1. Jesus the Light
As was prophesied long ago, Jesus came into this world to give light. His light enables self-examination, reveals the path we should walk, facilitates work, helps us understand God, and enables us to be thoroughly cleansed from sin. The light of Jesus brings hope and comfort into this dark and gloomy world.

Zacharias prophesied that Jesus would come to give light! (Luke 1:78-79; Isaiah 60:1-2)
To those who sit in darkness (John 12:6)
To those under the shadow of death (Heb. 2:15)
To guide our feet (Luke 2:32)
Jesus is the Light of Prophecy!
He came as Light! (Isaiah 9:1-2; Matthew 4:12-27)
The darkness did not comprehend Him (Jn. 1:4-5)

3. Comprehending Jesus the Light
Light allows examination and exposes filth (Ephesians 5:13-14; Psalm 90:8; John 3:19-21)
Light reveals the path to walk (John 8:12; 11:9-10; 12:35; Eph. 5:8; 1 Peter 2:21)
Light facilitates work (John 9:4-5)
Light enables us to understand God (Psalm 36:9; Hebrews 1:3; John 1:18; 2 Cor. 4:6; Ephesians 1:17-18; Psalm 119:130)
Light allows for thorough cleansing (1 John 1:7; Acts 26:18)
