From the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) funded the AUCD public health team to develop the Including People with Disabilities: Public Health Competencies. Funding was renewed in 2015. The Competencies were designed to increase disability knowledge among public health professionals, and will ultimately enable them to develop programs and activities that include people with disabilities.   The Competencies align with and support the MCH Leadership Competencies as well as the Essential Public Health Services.
