FACILITY TYPES The State has designated 54 different facility types in MCIR Of those 54 types: 13 are designations for school/childcare facilities 3 are designations for administrative uses (State and Regional) 3 are designations for All Hazard (pandemics) 35 are designations for provider offices The U.P. utilizes 24 of those types

DATA ENTRY METHODS EXT HL7 QBP Hand-Entry
The creation of an external flat file from the provider’s EMR or spreadsheet that contains the specifications for the record format used to interact with MCIR There are currently 4 sites using EXT transfer HL7 The electronic submission of immunization data from the provider’s EMR/EHR directly to MCIR There are currently 95 sites using HL7 data transfer There is 1 site approved for HL7 pending training There are 54 sites in onboarding QBP The bidirectional request from an EMR/EHR to MCIR for a complete forecast and history of a person’s immunization record There are currently 19 sites using QBP Hand-Entry Remains the most-used method of entering immunization information There are currently 190 sites using hand-entry
