3 Red Zone Interventions
One-on-one sessions with Guidance Counselors at least weekly Reviewing academic performance and setting goals Reviewing behavioral performance and setting goals Counselor communicates regularly with parents and teachers Recognizes and rewards academic and behavioral achievements

4 Red Zone Interventions
Fine/Practical Arts/PE Teachers as mentors FAPE teachers meet weekly for 45 minutes with red zone students to: Make a personal connection with students Discuss concerns/issues students have Allow students opportunities to participate in activities they enjoy and excel in – builds confidence

Options Program Options caseworker works with students (daily for many) on a variety of issues (family, academics, relationships, etc.) Caseworker has regular contact with parents Caseworker works in conjunction with Guidance Counselors frequently to meet needs

Student Success Plans/Behavior Management Plans All students in the red zone are followed by the Student Services Team and have one of the plans above Case managers are assigned (frequently Options caseworker or Guidance Counselor) and students are discussed regularly at SST meetings

7 By the Numbers… Of the 15 students in the Red Zone in , four moved to the Yellow Zone for In all, 13 of the 15 made improvements this school year. As a group, they totaled 176 referrals in , and 133 in

9 Yellow Zone Interventions
Many students in the Yellow Zone also participate in individual counseling with Guidance, are in Options, and participate in the Staff Mentoring program, particularly those that were previously in the Red Zone.

10 By the Numbers… Of the 36 students in the Yellow Zone for the school year, 17 moved to the Green Zone for the school year. 21 of the 36 made improvements from the previous school year.

11 Other Intervention Information
We do not remove students from intervention once they move from the Red or Yellow Zones into the Green Zone, though we may lessen the frequency of those interventions. When a Red/Yellow Zone Student moves into the Green Zone we continue to reinforce the positive behavior with “Good News Home” cards, Bo Bucks, positive phone calls home to parents as well as incentive rewards.

Teachers modeling the expected behaviors in the beginning of the school year during Seminar class based on the Area Expectation Matrix Area Expectation Matrix reviewed and modeled throughout the school year in all classes Manor Motto Lessons Six lessons, which include short video clips of students following the Manor Motto of respect, responsibility and cooperation (examples and non-examples) along with student activities Conflict Management Lessons Approximately 16 lessons throughout the school year that focus on violence prevention and conflict management for all students

13 Incentives Bo Bucks for all students with weekly drawings and monthly rewards for all who earn them Green Zone field trips at the end of each marking period All students have the opportunity to earn Green Zone trips each marking period (we re-set the clock, so to speak).
