3. Why do Carlton go on residential visits?
Part of the curriculum
First hand geography
Bonding experience

Small topic done before and after the visit
Learn more in a week than a year in the classroom

8. Costs
£250 per child
Coach cost is £790 – this is subsidised by school.
All payments are to be done online – you will receive a text when the payment portal is open.
Please pay a £25 deposit as soon as the online payment portal opens to secure your child’s place.
Payments can be done in instalments, or paid in full, anytime before the payment deadline.
Final balance must be paid by Monday 13th March 2017.
Robinwood was £180 for 2 nights in November.

9. Is it safe? Highly trained instructors
All activities at least 1:6 adult child ratio
Risk assessed
Mr Coe and Mrs Clark in constant contact
Staff usually overtrained – mountaineering, canoeing
Risk assessments for – travel, accommodation, each activity
Julie to visit midweek
