WHEN did the Empire exist? WHAT was the Empire/what did they do? HOW did the Empire rise and fall? WHY does any of this matter?

3 Who The Ottoman empire was formed by Osman the First in asia minor during the collapse of the Seljuk empire. The Ottomans absorbed and conquered other small states and expanded their empire until they covered most of southeast Europe up to Vienna (Yapp).

4 Where Centralized in present-day Turkey
Stretched into the Balkan region, North Africa, and throughout the Middle East (About).

10 How Fall After a 200 year period of stagnation the Empire began to decline In Between 1830 and the early 1900s the Ottomans began to lose important battles for land with nations like France, Britain, and Russia The Ottomans’ involvement in World War I ended with the monarchy being dissolved and replaced by the Republic of Turkey (Saylor).
