IN A LITTLE WHILE WE’RE GOING HOME
4
Let us sing a song that will cheer us by the way
In a little while we’re going home; For the night will end in the everlasting day In a little while we’re going home.
5
In a little while, In a little while We shall cross the billow’s foam
We shall meet at last, When the stormy winds are past In a little while we’re going home.
6
We will do the work that our hands may find to do
In a little while we’re going home And the grace of God will our daily strength renew In a little while we’re going home.
7
In a little while, In a little while We shall cross the billow’s foam
We shall meet at last, When the stormy winds are past In a little while we’re going home.
8
We will smooth the path for some weary, way worn feet,
In a little while we’re going home And may loving hearts spread around an influence sweet! we’re going home.
9
In a little while, In a little while We shall cross the billow’s foam
We shall meet at last, When the stormy winds are past In a little while we’re going home.
10
There’s a rest beyond, there’s relief from every care,
In a little while we’re going home; Ad no tears shall fall in that city bright and fair going home.
11
In a little while, In a little while We shall cross the billow’s foam
We shall meet at last, When the stormy winds are past In a little while we’re going home.

The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown Once there was a little bunny who wanted to run away. So he said to his mother, "I am running away." "If you run away," said his mother, "I will run after you. For you are my little bunny."
16
"If you become a fish in a trout stream,"
"If you run after me," said the little bunny, "I will become a fish in a trout stream and I will swim away from you." "If you become a fish in a trout stream," said his mother, "I will become a fisherman and I will fish for you."
17
"If you become a fisherman,"
said the little bunny, "I will become a rock on the mountain, high above you." "If you become a rock on the mountain high above me,“ said his mother, "I will be a mountain climber, and I will climb to where you are."
18
"If you become a mountain climber,"
said the little bunny, "I will be a crocus in a hidden garden." "If you become a crocus in a hidden garden," said his mother, "I will be a gardener. And I will find you."
19
"If you are a gardener and find me,"
said the little bunny, "I will be a bird and fly away from you." "If you become a bird and fly away from me," said his mother, "I will be a tree that you come home to."
20
said the little bunny, "I will become a little sailboat,
"If you become a tree," said the little bunny, "I will become a little sailboat, and I will sail away from you." "If you become a sailboat and sail away from me,“ said his mother, "I will become the wind and blow you where I want you to go."
21
"If you become the wind and blow me,“
said the little bunny, "I will join a circus and fly away on a flying trapeze." "If you are flying on a flying trapeze," said his mother, "I will be a tightrope walker, and I will walk across the air to you."
22
"If you become a tightrope walker
and walk across the air," said the bunny, "I will become a little boy and run into a house." "If you become a little boy and run into a house,“ said the mother bunny, "I will become your mother and catch you in my arms and hug you."
23
"I might just as well stay where I am and be your little bunny."
"Shucks," said the bunny, "I might just as well stay where I am and be your little bunny." And so he did. "Have a carrot," said the mother bunny.
24
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1-3.
25
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 Jesus has promised that He would do a complete make over of this world, not just a touch-up.
26
Isaiah 65 vs. 17 Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered nor will they come to mind. In the new world, there will be no more memory of former pain. Sufferings, disappointments, heartaches… all these will be forgotten.
27
"If you're not allowed to laugh in heaven,
vs But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be delight and its people a joy. I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more. "If you're not allowed to laugh in heaven, I don't want to go there.“ Martin Luther
28
Christ will laugh with us, and his wit and fun-loving nature will be our greatest sources of endless laughter. vs. 20 (first part) Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years.
29
vs They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the works of their hands. They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, they and their descendants with them.
30
Before they call I will answer;
The new earth is a place of productive and interesting activity. Work will be carried on constantly. However, none would consider any intense activity wearisome or burdensome. vs. 24 Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.
31
We will experience a direct and immediate relationship with God.
vs. 25 The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, but dust will be the serpent’s food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain.
32
There will be peace, security and success in that new earth.
And wonder of wonders, the Savior will be there! That heavenly Bridegroom, who died for His bride, will sit by her side. What a thrill it will be to see Him in all His beauty! What a wonder it will be to behold Him face to face!
33
To walk the streets of gold – that will be glorious.
To pass the gates of pearl – that will be precious. But to look into the face of Jesus – that will be the most ecstatic experience of all eternity! Oh, to be thrilled by the look in His eyes! Oh, to be enamored by the melody of His voice! Oh, to be overwhelmed by the beauty of His smile!
34
to cast our crowns at His feet,
What a wonder it will be to bow at His knee, to cast our crowns at His feet, and to gaze at those scars in His hands! What a thrill it will be – sometime in eternity – to touch those nail prints, to put our hand in His hand and hear Him whisper sweetly, “I love you!”
35
A home where the pure and blest Will find there eternal rest.
HOMESICK FOR HEAVEN So dear to my heart is the promise of God A home where the pure and blest As we weary pilgrims, strangers here below Will find there eternal rest.
36
I’m homesick for heaven seems I cannot wait Yearning to enter
Zion’s pearly gates There never a heartache, never a care I long for my home over there.
37
Where saints of all ages hold The glories of heaven share.
Tis Eden, fair Eden I long to behold Where naught can despoil that’s fair Where saints of all ages hold communion sweet The glories of heaven share.
38
I’m homesick for heaven seems I cannot wait Yearning to enter
Zion’s pearly gates There never a heartache, never a care I long for my home over there.
39
the thought that enthralls That I shall behold my King
But chiefest of all is the thought that enthralls That I shall behold my King Rejoice in His presence revel in His grace And ever His praises sing.
