1 Comparing and Contrasting Myths
After reading the myths “The Origin of the Seasons” and “Orpheus, the Great Musician”, you will be drawing a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast the key elements in these two stories. Follow the directions below to complete the activity. Read the myths “The Origin of the Seasons” and “Orpheus, the Great Musician.” Draw a Venn Diagram representing the similarities and differences of the key elements found within these stories. Open the app iBrainstorm. Draw a Venn diagram using the pen tool. Write your name in the corner with a pen tool. Label each Venn Diagram circle with the pen tool. Hit the plus sign to add post it notes for information for each story. When finished, hit the home button and power button at the same time to take a picture of your work. This task uses: iBrainstorm Common Core/NG Standard(s): CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.7.3 Analyze how particular elements of a story or drama interact (e.g., how setting shapes the characters or plot).
