The elasticity in the fibre structure and its thickness determines its strength and resistance in an accident. Therefore leather should be regularly greased to prevent the fibres from drying out.
Design of the seams and choice of thread are two other parameters influencing the quality of the product.
Leather garments should be cleaned and impregnated regularly to keep the quality of the leather and thread.
The usual way of dying leather is in a bath or detailing on the surface. Mechanical treatment for a used look is another method used.
