5. BEi Programs
The Life Skills Program (Home and Community Habilitation) is held in the Towers apartments on Oak St. in Warren. The program focuses on teaching individuals how to acquire the skills to live on their own independently. Areas addressed include: household maintenance, cooking, cleaning, safety, budgeting, socialization, etc.

6. BEi Programs
The Therapeutic Activities Program (Home and Community Habilitation) focuses on providing services out in the community to assist individuals in acquiring, retaining and improving their self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills.

Chapter 2380 Adult Training Facility (ATF) (Community Habilitation) provides services to individuals in the areas of self-care, communication, community participation, and socialization. We also have a work component included in our service as an option.

Chapter 2390 Pre-Vocational Services: (Sheltered Workshop): assists individuals in developing necessary skills for placement into competitive employment.

Supported Employment Services: assists individuals in finding a competitive job of their choice. The required staffing ratio for this program is 1:1.

Cleaning Contracts (Transitional Work Services): supports individuals that are in transition to integrated, competitive employment through work that occurs out in the community providing cleaning services for local businesses. We have several individuals who participate in this program who are supervised by BEi staff who go into local businesses to clean. Our current cleaning contracts are with ANF, DeFrees Center, and Targeted Pet Treats.

11. BEi Programs
BE-inspired Art Program (Transitional Work Services): supports individuals that are in transition to integrated, competitive employment through work that occurs in a location held downtown at a local business (Seasons on the Avenue).Classes are taught by local artists in the store or in the community. The individuals work on enhancing their skills to make products that they can sell for profit at the store or in the community. They also learn about how to market their products and how to run a business.

Pennsylvania Government is promoting improved competitive integrated employment
This policy reflects the Commonwealth’s goal of making the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania a model state when it comes to creating a climate hospitable to workers with a disability.

a.  Implement Employment First as the policy of all Commonwealth executive branch agencies;
