They had pushed British and French troops to the Marne River-Within 50 miles of Paris
However at the Marne the Germans had overstretched their army
The French and the British get reinforcements and push the Germans past the river Aisne
From that point forward they will continually try to outflank one another
This includes a race to the Sea
