1. The reluctant attitude
Someone who really doesn’t want to give
They see giving as losing – Matthew 19:16-30
They give out of compulsion and guilt – Acts 5:1-11

Someone who is happy to give – 2 Corinthians 8:1-4; Acts 2:44-47; 4:34-37
They see giving as sowing – 2 Corinthians 9:6; Galatians 6:7-10
They give out of faith and love – 2 Corinthians 8:5; 8-9

It makes the gift acceptable
For if the willingness is there – 2 Corinthians 8:12; Luke 19:1-10
Not all giving is acceptable to God! – Malachi 1:8-10

When we give with a good attitude it makes our Heavenly Father proud of us – 2 Corinthians 9:12; Matthew 5:16

When we give with the right attitude, we demonstrate that we understand God’s will and are happy to do it 2 Corinthians 9:8-11, 13; Matthew 25:14-30
God rewards those who give with the right attitude! – Matthew 6:1-4; 1 Timothy 6:18-20

Consider carefully what you are giving to
Make sure it’s something you believe in
Make sure you trust those who handle the money – Acts 11:29-30; 1 Corinthians 16:1-4

9. How to Develop a Good Attitude
Pray about it earnestly!
Pray that God will give you a generous spirit
Pray that God will help you be honest with yourself
Pray that God will help you continue to grow in this grace of giving – 2 Corinthians 8:7
