2. Law Program 101 Course of study has includes 4 classes
Eighty percent of the students in the program have gone on to post secondary education; at least one has joined the US Army.
The program focuses on the students having a working knowledge of the basics of the law & legal system, enabling them to have greater understanding of the law than the general public. The program also focuses on problem solving skills and logical/critical thinking.
Understanding the law encourages students to look at BOTH sides of an argument as well as lessons on remaining a dispassionate advocate rather than an emotional arguer.

3. Participation and Enrollment in the Law Academy
Over the last 4 years, 277 students have attended the program
The Advisory Board includes 3 attorneys, a sitting judge(Judge Sibyl Cleveland Huntsville Municipal Court), members of HPD & MCSO and a manager of a private security firm.

6. Mock Trials
The Criminal Justice class will be participating in the program’s 4th mock trial.
Previous trials have been presided over by Judge Lynn Sherrod (AL District Court, Madison Co. Retired) and Judge Charles Woodroof (Limestone County Probate Court).
