The 2017 NFL season is set to kick off September 11th for the 98th time in the history of the National Football League. For the first time since the San Diego Chargers are relocating to Los Angeles, giving one of the biggest markets a team for this first time since Continuing for 2017, NFL Network will simulcast NFL games with CBS and with NBC. Also returning are the popular Monday Night Countdown and NFL Primetime airing Mondays on ESPN. NFL had a solid social presence on ESPN with 5.6 million tweets in 2016 and 4.7 million for NFL Networks game day coverage.
