2 Admission Requirements
Application Form English Language Admission Standard: If you have completed three years of full-time education in Canada, you will have met this standard. Option A completion of the RT (general) diploma of the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) or an equivalent diploma; Second-year level Organic Chemistry (UBC Chem 233/235 or Chem 203 and 204 or both of Chem 213 and 245) Second-year level Physical Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry (UBC Chem 205 [or 201] and 211) Option B First- and second-year courses in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, English, Math, Medical Microbiology and Immunology and Physics. High school graduates must first enter the Faculty of Science, complete the requirements in Option B above, then apply to the BMLSc program.

2 years of choice (toxicology, pathology, hematology, histology, tissue culture, molecular biology, biochemistry, medical microbiology, human physiology, laboratory administration, clinical chemistry, genetics, immunology, parasitology, cytology, career searching skills, and instrumental analysis)

6 Possible Scholarships (First Year)
Major Entrance Scholarships Approximately $5,000 and renewable awards of up to $40,000 payable over four years. High school and CEGEP students who are Canadian citizens and permanent residents are eligible and automatically considered if they apply to UBC through the online application. Schulich Leader Scholarships Payments of $20,000 over a period of four years if all renewal criteria are met. High school, secondary school, or CÉGEP students in their final year of study are eligible to be selected by their respective schools as Schulich Leader Nominees. UBC Centennial Scholars Entrance Award One-time and renewable awards of up to $40,000 payable over four years.  Canadian applying directly from high school or transferring from another post-secondary institution to your first undergraduate degree (post-baccalaureate students are not eligible to apply). You and your family must complete an application to demonstrate financial need.

7 My Thoughts I love that I can stay near the heart of Vancouver, because I will gain connection for work after I graduate and I stay close to my parents. I know that UBC’s science program is strong. Since I was little I have wanted to go here, and I feel safer if I know I am near to my family.
